The 3 Types of Christian Blogs

There are really three ways to write Christian blogs. In this video I discuss each one and how it might apply to your blog.

The three different types of Christian blogs are: (1) a blog primarily about Christian spirituality, (2) writting through a lens of faith,  and (3) a hybrid of types (1) and (2).

Category 1: Blogs Primarily about Christian spirituality

One way is to have your content be about the Bible. Maybe you focus on eternal life, what it means to be a son or daughter of the King, etc. This type of blog is primarily a teaching or devotional style blog where you address Biblical topics. Think of it like the preacher of the blogging world.

Category 2: Writting Through a Lens of Faith

The next method of Christian blogging is blogging through what I call a faith lens. This is where your content is filtered through your faith.

Think of this way, its the difference between being a pastor and being an electrician. You wouldn’t expect your electrician to come to your house with a Bible study planned. However, if the electrician is a Christian, his job might be filtered through his faith lens. He might encourage you, pray with you, etc. This is how the second method of Christian blogging works.

Category 3: Hybrid Christian Blogs

The third type of Christian blogging is a hybrid of the first two. This is where you you write on a topic that might not necessarily be overtly Christian and you have devotional style posts as well. This is the type of blog that I do here at ChrisBaldwin.com.

I blog primarily to help Christian Bloggers Create, Grow, and Leverage their platform for the Kingdom…but I also have blog posts on different Biblical topics, like understanding what you believe, hearing God’s voice, and the Father Heart of God.

If you want to check out any of those topics, just click on the topic above…or click “Grow in God” at the bottom of the page.

I even have an entire guide on how to have a consistent, life-giving quiet time. If you struggle having a consistent and enjoyable quiet time? If so, join me for a 5-Day Quiet Time Challenge and receive my free quiet time guide, detailing the 5 things I do in every quiet time. Click here for the guide.

When you grab the guide, I’ll also send you a devotional email every Monday morning.

My point is, I have a lot of faith based content that supplements my main content of helping other Christian Bloggers. Maybe you could do the same.
